Cork IT!year of Whine and Cheers…..

It is hard to believe I am celebrating a year of Cheering for and Whining about wines while simultaneously reaching the milestone of 10,000! visits to Whine and Cheers for Wine.  Merry Christmas to me!

I never imagined what began as such a transitional year for me would be filled with so many milestones.  A year ago, unemployed I decided to start a blog about wine, my hobby. From that first step things started moving fast and my hobby became my career.

What a year:

WSET Certification,  Employment as a Wine Steward,  Sponsorship   via WalkedThru, Contributor to Bargain Wine Time, named Interim Winn-Dixie Liquor Store Manager,  guest post on Señorita Vino for a Day, and most surprising to me: 10,000 visitor milestone surpassed on this site.  One of these events would have satisfied me but all of them combined? Incredible.

I have truly lucked out and I am very thankful to all my followers, supporters and site visitors who have made it all possible.  Yes, all of you behind the 10,000+ hits  🙂

May your New Year be filled with wine and little whine!

 Bring on 2013!!

¡SALUD!

Ernesto has been a vino aficionado for nearly 30 years. He began taking wine classes three years ago and subsequently landed the prestigious position of wine steward for a national grocery store chain. All that and he’s a Cubano, too!  Ernesto, take it away!

I have to admit I like the title.  I think it makes me sound younger. Señor Vino? Nah, maybe in a few years…. As a big fan of Señorita Vino and her very…
